Betty Jean Lang Willis, 88, resident of Prattville, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church at 11a.m. with Pastor Bryant Hansen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1767 Co Rd 12, Sardis, AL, 36775 with Dr. David Thomas officiating at the graveside. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Mrs. Willis grew up in Pleasant Hill, AL, Dallas County. She graduated from Parrish High School in 1951. She was baptized at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and joined First Presbyterian Church in 1992. Mrs. Willis was a member of the Irv Wicker Sunday School Class. She loved her family, her Lord and Savior, her church and church family. She was an avid fan of the Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves. Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Grindle; first husband of 27 years and father of their three children, Billy Neal Lang; two brothers, Walter Grindle, Jr. and Frank T. Grindle; sister, Ruth Thompson. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Joseph Wyatt Willis; two daughters, Allyson Boozer (Richard) and Janet Tracy (Gary); son, Richard Neal Lang (Cindy); stepson, Ryan Willis (Carla); nine grandchildren, Dean Smith (Allison), Dawn Bowles (Bart), John Tracy, Paul Tracy (Donna), Susan Tracy, Amanda Ray (Brian), Dana Cody, Kerry Merritt (Charles), and Cooper Neal Willis; 10 great-grandchildren, Meredith Smith, Cole Smith, Caroline Bowles, Clayton Bowles, Matthew Tracy, Nathaniel Tracy, Christopher Tracy, Connor Cody, Edmund Cody, and Isaac Merritt; extended family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Pam Rives, 1890 Co Rd 12, Sardis, AL, 36775 and/or First Presbyterian Church, 211 Chestnut Street, Prattville, AL 36067.
