Norma Jean Cowan Brasier, age 89, born in Hiram, Georgia and a resident of Bay Minette, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at North Baldwin Infirmary. She was a retired manager at J.C. Penny’s. She attended First Baptist Church in Bay Minette where she was a member of the Happy Hearts. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and a Volunteer at North Baldwin Infirmary. She is survived by her children, Larry Dale Brasier of Bay Minette, , Marsha B. (Bob) Williams of Satsuma,, Karen B. (Woody) Watters of Pensacola, and Janet B. (Dayton) Dawkins of Bay Minette, one brother, Robert “Bob” Cowan of Hollywood, SC; one sister of Patricia Owens of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Gammon R. Brasier, Leslie F. Brasier, Kellie D. Williams, Johnathan David Watters, Cynthia G. Conner, Regina Marie Parmely, Joshua S. Foley, Eric M. Foley and Kristie M. Meadows; nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Brasier; grandchildren, Stacey Alison Brasier, Scott Christian Williams and Jason Michael Dawkins; three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Childersburg, AL.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Gammon Brasier, Johnathan Watters, Joshua Foley, Eric Foley, Skylor Foley, Ricky Conner, Doug Holmes and Nathan Parmely. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
