Selma High School was placed on a soft lockdown earlier Tuesday because of an anonymous threat received via text to a Selma High faculty member.
Several minutes ago, the soft lockdown was lifted and students transitioned to 8th block.
Selma City Schools Community engagement specialist Courtney Washington said that Selma High is working with the Selma Police Department and Dallas County Sheriff Office to investigate.
“We take threats seriously,” Washington said. “Additional security will remain on campus for the remainder of the day.”
