Selma High spanks Sipsey Valley on Senior Night

Selma High celebrated Senior Night with a 42-0 shutout victory over Sipsey Valley on Friday night at Memorial Stadium.
The Saints (5-4, 4-1) won its fourth straight and sets up a Region 3, 5A title showdown at Demopolis next Friday.
Dylan Walker, Kendarius McMillian, Travis Thomas, Eyan Martin, Amari Thomas, Amarrion Strong, Donnie Brown, Kemari Eaton, Cornelius Hosea, Semaj Jones, Dayman Lapsley played their last regular season game at Memorial Stadium.
“The defense stepped up and played well,” Saints coach Willie Gandy said. “We ran the ball tonight and Tristan Wall had his best game at quarterback for us.”
Walker scored three touchdowns and three two-point conversions for the Saints.
“Dylan just gets the job done for us, whether we need a quarterback sack or to run the football,” Gandy said.
While the senior football players, band members and cheerleaders were honored, an underclassman stole the show for the Saints.
Defensive back/wide receiver DaKaari Nelson scored two touchdowns, including a 80-yard interception return. He added a 13-yard TD catch and finished with two interceptions.
Jason Rogers’ 10-yard TD run and Walls’ 12-yard TD run were the Saints’ second-half scores.
