Alabama football announcer Eli Gold will be the first speaker at the Selma Quarterback Club this season.
The meeting will be held Tuesday night at 415 Plantation Drive. The social time starts at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and Gold to address the audience.
“We are excited about our first meeting with Eli Gold,” Selma QB Club Captain Bob Frazer said.
Guest tickets for adults are $40 and $20 for high school students and below.
Gold has served as the radio voice for the Alabama football team, part of the Crimson Tide Sports Network, since 1988.
The Brooklyn native once had a 400 game streak of calling Crimson Tide football games that was snapped by COVID last year.
Gold a four-time Alabama Sportscaster of the Year award winner, is also known for being the first play-by-play announcer for the UAB Blazers basketball team and NASCAR.
