Major Irby Jr. was born in Sweetwater, on November 19, 1936 to the late Emma and Major Irby Sr.    

Major Irby Jr. departed this life on August 16, 2021 at Vaughan Regional Hospital in Selma.   Major confessed Christ as Lord and Savior on November 5, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church Selma under the leadership of Pastor Joshua Davis.  Major Irby was preceded in death by; his parents Emma and Major Irby  Sr.  Spouse; Roxie Lee Irby; Sisters; Estelle Irby, Willie Mae Armstead;  brother  Sam Irby;   his Precious Daughter Nancy Christine Irby; Granddaughter; Cynthia Nicole Irby, Great Grandsons;  Derrick Nichols; and Rowshaan Rasberry.Major Irby Jr. leaves to cherish his sweet memories, four sons; Willie (Kemberley)Irby;  Sam Campbell,  Major (Diane)Irby III; Deon Irby two daughters; Marjorie Irby and Cheryl Irby (Kenneth Curry).  A loving brother Doc Irby,  Sisters; Nancy Irby; Iris Irby, Erma Irby-Battle, Rachel Tate and Eliza Irby.  A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great, Great, Great Grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends
