VRMC announces series of vaccination clinics

Vaughan Regional Medical Center (VRMC) has partnered with several community organizations to host three vaccinations clinics this month.
The first clinic will be held Thursday at VRMC from 10-11 a.m. VRMC will begin a weekly vaccination clinic, and each Thursday thereafter for the Moderna doses .
A mass vaccination will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on August 24 the 1st Floor Classroom of the Medical Office Building Tower of VRMC.
VRMC is partnering with Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and the Edmundite Missions to host a vaccination clinic in East Selma on August 31 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 120 Division Street. Free food will be provided.
Individuals must do the following:
-You must wear a mask upon entry and keep your mask on.
-You must be 18 years of age or older.
-You must bring proper identification (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.).
Entering August, VRMC has administered over 8,000 vaccines.
VRMC is planning to hold a vaccination clinic at Wallace Community College-Selma at a later date.
“Our hospital is committed to providing the highest quality care and ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, providers, volunteers and visitors,” VRMC said in a statement.
“We are continuing to monitor the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are taking the necessary steps to ensure we are fully prepared to care for patients, in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and in partnership with our local and state health departments.”
