Gospel Tabernacle and SonLight Center held two food giveaways twice over the last week.

A food giveaway was held at West Trinity Baptist Church last Saturday and Tuesday at Bloch Park.

A long line of vehicles circled around the property to pick up boxes that contained frozen chicken, vegetables, onions, yogurt and assorted fruits.

Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson handed out over 1,000 food boxes to local residents in both locations. LeMarkus A. Snow of Snow’s Cleaning Service was among those who assisted with the food giveaway at Bloch Park.

“Gov. Ivey has cut out the unemployment, but Pastor Grayson is still giving out boxes to the city,” Snow said.
