The Selma Police Department has identified the man who was found dead Saturday morning at 20- foot avenue. The SPD also identified a suspect.

Kendarious Jackson, 27, is the African-American male found shot to death. Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford said Jackson’s family discovered him in the street and rushed him to Vaughn Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Fulford said Selma teenager Demetrice Brown, 19, is now wanted for murder in the case. SPD detectives identified him as a suspect.

Fulford said the incident remains under investigation by the SPD.

This is the seventh murder of the year in Selma and Dallas County.
