A Dallas County man was arrested Tuesday in Birmingham on a Shelby County warrant.
Ronald Fitts, AKA “Red,” was arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff Office, according to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson.
Jackson said that Fitts is in the Shelby County Jail with a hold on him and illegal drug charges are the underlying charges. His bond was conditionally revoked.
Fitts was arrested last June by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force for Drug Trafficking. He made a $100,000 cash bond, but was transported to the Dallas County Jail after being arraigned on June 11. Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong revoked his bond on pending drug charges in Dallas County.
Fitts has a history of arrests in Dallas County. On June 23, 2018, Fitts was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
