A Selma man was arraigned this week in Dallas County Court for two charges of attempted murder.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Kca’Leeta Lorenzo Wilson was arraigned for an Oct. 30 shooting. Wilson was also charged with shooting a firearm into an occupied building.

Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong set Wilson’s bond at $2 million consolidated. Jackson said Wilson remains in the Dallas County Jail.

In the October incident, Selma Police Department (SPD) officers were dispatched to the Vaughan Regional Medical Center (VRMC) Emergency Room in reference to two gunshot victims, Davaris Edwards and Alecastro Mills. Edwards was struck in the mid-torso and Mills shot in the left upper abdomen.

Natasha Blevins-Mills, Mills’ wife, told officers that Leeta Wilson pulled up in front of Mills’ residence at 316 Gaines Avenu, in a blue vehicle. The report said someone from the rear seat fired multiple shots into a 2018 gray Jeep Renegade.

The residence was also struck several times. Blevins-Mills drove the victims to the hospital. Mills was taken to Baptist South in Montgomery, while Edwards was airlifted to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

A few days later, Blevins-Mills identified Wilson from a police photo lineup as the driver of the blue vehicle and a shooter.
