Two Selma men were charged last week in a series of burglaries that occurred twice in Chilton County.

Kourtney Jones, 36 and Bardarious Jorkeise Hall, 27, were identified. Jemison resident Tramaine Cardale Walter Sr., 30, was the third suspect arrested in Chilton County. The trio is being charged with Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief offenses. More charges are expected.

Chilton County deputies and Maplesville Police Department responded to a burglary in progress on AL Hwy 191 in the Isabella area. A homeowner was watching his wireless surveillance system and saw three people wearing masks break into his home.

According to the Maplesville Police, the suspects took off before deputies arrived. One short frame of the video caught one of the suspects without his mask. When investigators processed the scene, evidence indicated the suspects were possibly from the Selma/Dallas County area.

The Dallas County Sheriff Office and Selma Police Department received the video and identified Jones, Hall and Walter as suspects.

Another burglary took place on County Road 73 on Feb. 10.

Jones was wanted in three other jurisdictions on felony Theft charges. After getting a warrant to search a Selma resident on Feb. 10 officers found a stolen firearm, crack cocaine, Ecstacy tablets, clothing worn during the Burglaries and identified the vehicle used in the Feb. 9 burglary.

After searching Walter’s home in Jemison, officers found property stolen from both burglaries on February 9 and other burglaries the Sheriff’s Office investigated in those areas. Investigators also recovered stolen property from a recent burglary/theft in Dallas County.

The Selma Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff Office, the Clanton Police Department, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Alabama Attorney General’s Office assisted the Chilton County Sheriff Office.
