Selma High boys, girls cruise into Area 7, Class 5A tournament finals

Aeraeonna Manuel scored 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds and seven steals as eighth-ranked Selma High pounded Sipsey Valley 62-32 in the Area 7, Class 5A girls tournament semifinals.
Shayna Johnson added 12 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots for Selma (9-2), who will meet Central-Tuscaloosa in the tournament finals.
Jarvis Moss scored 35 points, including 17 straight to end the third quarter as Selma High overcame a 10 point deficit to beat Central-Tuscaloosa 56-44 in the Area 7, 5A tournament finals. Moss made seven three-pointers for the Saints (9-3), who host Sipsey Valley in the tournament finals on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Dallas County 74, West Blocton 43: The fourth-ranked Hornets cruised to an easy victory in the Area 6, Class 4A tournament. The Hornets host Bibb County in the finals.
Selma Central-Tuscaloosa:
Lee Scott 61, Morgan Academy 44: Rhyne Williams scored 18 points as the Senators (8-8) fell in the Elite Eight round of the AISA tournament. Chris Gardner added 12.
Linden girls 47, Keith 18: The Lady Bears were eliminated in the Area 5, Class 1A girls tournament semifinals.
Montevallo girls 55, Dallas County 47: The Lady Hornets were eliminated in the Area 6, Class 4A tournament.
