Selma High closes unbeaten week with victory over Dallas County
Selma High showed last week why they deserved a ranking in the Alabama Sportswriters Association Top 10 basketball poll.
The 10th ranked Saints posted two impressive victories over the weekend, improving to 7-2.
Selma defeated No. 5 Dallas County 62-56 on Saturday at home.
Jarvis Moss and Aaron Strong each scored 13 points for the Saints.
Strong was an All Dallas County selection for the Hornets last year.
“It felt good to be playing against my old teammates and coming out victorious,” Strong said.”They are still my boys and I always will have love for them.”
Selma (7-2) defeated Sipsey Valley 78-69 on Friday at home as Jarvis Moss scored 21 points and made nine assists. Aaron Strong added 14 points.
Selma High visits Dallas County on Saturday in Plantersville.
