Robert Edwin (Bobby) Woodruff, 71, passed away Tuesday December 22. 2020. Graveside services will be held Sunday December 27 at3:00 PM at Oakview Cemetery in Lowndesboro, AL, with Rev Davey Lyon officiating.
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Roberta Woodruff of Santa Rosa, FL, and hisbrother, Perry Woodruff (Kent) of Selma. He is also survived by his nieces CarolineWoodruff Bush ( Allen) and Anne Woodruff Wilbourne ( Frankie), great nephews,Ellis and John Allen Bush, all of Auburn, Sister-in-law Kindal Callen, nieces Laurenand Emily Callen, nephew William Callen, and special young men, B.J. and BrentGreen. He was predeceased by his wife, Jackie Robinson Woodruff, His parents,Judge and Mrs. O.P. (Buddy),Woodruff ,his beloved grandmother, Roberta “Slim”McGavock, brother-in-law, Scott Callen and a very special friend, Lisa Green.
Bobby graduated from Lowndes Academy and attended Auburn University wherehe lettered in football. We worked on the family farm for many years, then at GE and his last years he worked for Auto Auction where he made friends acrosscentral Alabama. Bobby loved people and people loved Bobby. He will be missed by many.
Pallbearers are Billy McCurdy, David McCurdy, Mac McCurdy, Taylor Bragan, Val Ivey, Johnny Lee MacDowell, Thomas Coker, Herbert Powell, Jimmy Spiegner and Wallace Clark. Honorary Pallbearers are his many, many friends who are too numerous to name.
