Safe Haven Center to serve dinner for Dallas County Jail inmates
The Safe Haven Center will be serving dinner to the inmates at the Dallas County Jail on Christmas Day.
Safe Haven Center CEO Rev. Michael Bowen said the organization always seek donations from various places in the community, including Selma City Hall.
“We do this every year asking people to donate,” Bowen said. “Because of the coronavirus, it’s been going slow this year.”
Bowen said the deadline to donate is Tuesday, Dec. 22. He also said if people miss the deadline, they can donate to the Cash APP, $MichaelBowenSr. Safe Haven Center is a tax exempt 501C3 company.
