The Dallas County Grand Jury indicted a Selma suspect for capital murder.
Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said that Selma resident Roderick Shontell Harrison will be sentenced for the double murders of two African-American men: Wendell Pullom, 24 and Johnny Bonner III, 28. The fatal shooting occurred on Nov. 27 at the 1300 block of Ceola L. Miller Avenue.
Earlier in the week, Harrison was given a no bond by Dallas County Circuit Court Judge Collins A. Pettaway Jr. at the arraignment. Harrison remains in the Dallas County Jail.
Harrison turned himself in to the Selma Police Department on Dec. 3. Since Harrison was indicted by the Grand Jury, Jackson said that he won’t have a preliminary hearing on Dec. 18.
Jackson said Harrison will be arraigned in Dallas County Circuit Court in the near future.
