The Selma Charity League got together Thursday for its annual Christmas party and brought along gifts they donated to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree at the Tally Ho Restaurant.
Thirty-four women from the Selma Charity League donated gifts Tuesday to over 50 angels as part of the annual fundraiser for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree.
The Charity League works throughout the year, participating in various fundraising events to benefit the community. The Charity League and the Salvation Army have worked together in Selma on this fundraiser on for many years.
“The whole point of the Selma Charity League is to serve the community,” Charity League President Anna Elizabeth Beers said. “We donate to a different charity every month.”
“We do this event every year and we love doing it,” Charity League Vice President Kimberly Canada Levins said.
