Morgan Academy honors Fall Sports Student-Athletes

Morgan Academy honored its Fall sports student-athletes this week.
Running back Holt Utsey earned three trophies: Most valuable Player, offensive player of the year and most memorable performance.
Chris Gardner and Andrew Thomas were also selected as offensive player of the year alongside Utsey.
Scott Lalone and Trey Jones each won the defensive player of the year award.
Josh Brown and Thomas Smitherman each won the hustle award for defensive back and offensive lineman, respectively.
Trey Jones and Andrew Morris won the Scouting Report Scholar for linebacker and defensive lineman, respectively.
John Allen Ingram and Brody Roberts each won the Most Improved Defensive player award for linebacker and defensive lineman, respectively.
Wade Mason was the Special teams player of the year. Clayton O’Shields earned the Most Improved offensive player award.
Kenny Nichols won the Elliott Moseley Coaches’ Award. Nichols and Matthew Free won the most outstanding lineman award.
Cink Minter won the defensive playmaker award.
Matthew Free earned the Raines Heart Award.
Holt Utsey, Chris Gardner, Cobb Beers, Josh Brown, Scott Lalone, Kenneth Nichols, Brody Roberts, Matthew Free, Clayton O’Shields all earned the Senior Leadership Award.
Utsey, Garner, Lalone, Brown, Free and Nichols were recognized as AISA All-Stars.
Gardner, Utsey, Andrew Morris, O’Shields, John Haden Smith, Cink Minter, Andrew Thomas, Lalone and Rhyne Williams were recognized for having memorable performances.
Utsey won the Hardy, Haugen, Harrison award.
The Senators also honored their Junior Varsity football players.
Caden Tellier and Moss Jones each won the most improved defensive player of the year award.
Barron Frazer and Milton Hand each won the most improved offensive player of the year award.
Chase Brown and Sam Garner each won the Most Valuable Player Award.
