Morgan Academy dropped its season openers in basketball to Macon-East on Tuesday night at home.

The Senators fell 41-38 despite 14 points and 10 rebounds from George Turner. Wilks Chittom and Rhyne Williams each scored eight points for the Senators.

The Lady Senators fell 58-30. Sarah Thomas scored 11 points and Bailey Brown added 10 for the Lady Senators.

Clarke County 80, Keith High 69: Victor Milhouse III led the Bears with 21 points, Tommy Tisdale III added 14. DeCarlos Moore added 13.

Clarke County girls 51, Keith 34: Jakayla Moore led the Lady Bears with 14 points.

Southside girls 47, Dallas County 16: Jakeria Robinson scored 12 points. Shamya Allison added 11 and Caliyah McDonald had 10 for the Lady Panthers.

Russell Christian Academy 54, Meadowview Christian School 40: The Trojans dropped their opener on the road in Meridian.

Russell Christian Academy girls 36, Meadowview Christian School 31: Grace Redd led the Lady Trojans with 13 points and five rebounds. Patricia Peoples added 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
