The Gospel Tabernacle Church of God had a successful Hurricane Zeta Relief Response.

Between Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, meals were provided by The Gathering Place Restaurant under the leadership of Pastor John E. Grayson and his wife, Dr. Cece Grayson.

Hurricane Zeta rolled through New Orleans as a strong Category 2 storm and hit the Black Belt Region as a tropical storm on Oct. 28, leaving Dallas County and Queen City residents without power for several days and trees surrounding their property.

“We are grateful that Alabama Power restored power for their customers in the Selma area,” Pastor Grayson said. “It feels great to do something for the community.”
