An Alberta man died Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Wilcox County.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Gerard Andrew Mack, 36, was killed when the 2004 Honda Accord he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

An ALEA official said that Mack was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Wilcox County Highway 29, approximately five miles south of Catherine.

No other details are available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
