The Selma Police Department is investigating a shooting that involved two gunshot victims over the weekend.
Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford said the incident took place around 8:18 Friday night at the 300 block of Gaines Avenue.
“Officers responded to the Emergency Room in reference to two gunshot victims,” Fulford said. “Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 41-year-old black male who suffered a gunshot to his lower abdomen. The second victim was a 34-year-old black male who suffered a gunshot to his right side. He was airlifted to DCH in Tuscaloosa.”
Fulford said the shooting remains under investigation by the SPD.
“SPD Detectives are following all leads,” Fulford said. “Witnesses state that there was a dark colored dodge in the area.”
