A Selma man was killed in a single vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, J C Tolver, 77, was killed when the 2004 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a ditch on Alabama Highway 14 near the 123-mile marker, approximately five miles east of Selma city limits.

ALEA officials said that Tolver was pronounced dead at the scene.

ALEA officials said the accident remains under investigation.
