Dallas County Sheriff Office arrest five on drug charges

The Dallas County Sheriff Office arrested five local residents this week for multiple drug charges at two different traffic stops.
Devon Powell, Ronald Pettaway and Derrick Griffin were arrested around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday night on the intersection of King Street and McCloud Street.
Powell, 19, was charged was charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substance. Pettaway, 18, was charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance. Griffin, 19, was charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dallas County Sheriff Granthum said after deputies pulled over the vehicle the teenage trio were in, Griffin ran.
Matthew Chancey and Lisa Broadhead were both arrested at U.S. Highway 14 West in Selma shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Chancey, 40, was charged with drug paraphernalia possession, carrying a weapon or gun, second-degree receiving stolen property, possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute. Broadhead, 27, was charged with possession of controlled substances. Large amounts of crystal meth were found in their vehicle.
The bonds for Powell and Pettaway were set at $31,000. Griffin’s bond was set at $22,000. They all posted bond.
Chancey’s bond was $87,000 and he made bail. Broadhead’s bond was $10,000 and she remains locked in the Dallas County Jail.
