Emily “Ma Ma” Nash, also affectionately known as “Lil Ma”, is a native of Uniontown, born July 2, 1932.  Her kind heart and sweet spirit touched every person that crossed her path and left a lasting impression.  Ma Ma was a nurturer and if you ever visited her home you left with a full stomach, peace, a heartfelt prayer, and her singing “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”.  She taught all of her children to keep God first, pray always, love each other without limit, and that we are all children of “The Most High King”.

On October 7, 2020 our beautiful angel was called to be with the Lord in her heavenly home.  She joined her husband Tommy Nash; parents Mack and Mary Ann Witherspoon; son, John Miller Jr; brothers, Curtis and Coleman “Chuck” Witherspoon; sisters, Rachel Nun, Frances Hill-Young, Leona Smith, Martha Lee Witherspoon, and Elizabeth Scott; grandson, Jason Rice; son-in-law, Pearl Lee Conner Jr; and comfort companion Sampson “Sampy” Nash.

Emily leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Betty Jean Witherspoon Nelson of Tuscaloosa, ; her daughters Michelle Conner of West Chester, Ohio, Iona (Roland) Clark of Boyton Beach, Florida, Mary (Eric) Rice Reed of Detroit, Michigan, Pauline Turner of Hamilton, Ohio; her sons Danny (Chantay) Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio, James (Genice) Miller of Cottondale andBrian (Jewel) Miller of Montevallo, 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted loved ones. “Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength…”
