The Selma Outreach Team Fellowship Prayer Ministry will hold its ninth annual Praise Unity Celebration next month.

The event will be held from Oct. 1 to Oct. 3 at the Word Ministry on the corner of Highway 80 and Highway 41 in Selma. Bishop B.A. Scott Sr. is the pastor. The theme for the drive-in ministry is “Together in Unity.”

Annie Towns, Visionary Leader for Selma Outreach Team Fellowship Prayer Ministry, said it’s important for the city to unite.

“We have heard the cry of the city from the lost who do not come to our churches,” Towns said. “God desires our prayers, outreach and worship to extend beyond the walls of his church into our communities regardless of time and place, led by the Holy Spirit.”

Here’s the schedule of events:

Oct. 1: Drive-in Ministries of Prattville will present the movie, “Overcomer,” at 7 p.m. free of charge.

Oct. 2: Dr. Brenda Tyus will speak at 7 p.m.

Oct. 3: Dr. Gary Horton and Gospel Tabernacle Church Pastor John D. Grayson will be speakers at 10 a.m. Deacon Rick Robinson will preside the event.
