Mr. James L. Thomas 77 of Selma, passed Saturday, August 29, 2020. Mr. Thomas was a long time educator and Principal in Wilcox, County. He also was State Representative for District 69 in the Alabama State Legislature for 28 years. He was the son of the late Mr. James Mckinley Thomas and Mrs. Rebecca Gregory Thomas of Lowndes County. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Whitehall. His surviving spouse is Mrs. Evelyn Hatcher Thomas, one daughter Angel Rose Carter, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
