Selma, Dallas County churches to participate in Community Prayer Revival

The city of Selma and Dallas County will participate in a Community’s Prayer for Revival in September.
For the first four Wednesdays in September, prayer meetings will be held at eight different churches in the area and Benton, located in Lowndes County. Services will start at 6 p.m.
Kathy Smith of Northside Baptist Church said church members are encouraged to visit other churches.
Here’s a schedule of prayer meetings and their locations:
Sept. 2: Praise Park Ministries Church of the Nazarene in Valley Grande and Cornerstone Baptist.
Sept. 9: Benton Baptist (6:30 p.m.), Fairview Baptist.
Sept. 16: First Baptist Church and Plantersville Baptist.
Sept. 23: Northside Baptist Church and No Limit Assemblies of God in Valley Grande.
Ten Days of Prayer will be held between Sept. 19 and Sept. 28 at various churches in Dallas County. Services will start at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.
Here’s a prayer schedule and their locations:
Sept. 19: Christ the King.
Sept. 20: The Word Ministry on US Highway 80 East.
Sept. 21: Westwood Baptist Church.
Sept. 22: Valley Grande Baptist Church.
Sept. 24: Crosspoint Christian Church.
Sept. 25: Bethel Church.
Sept. 27: Elkdale Baptist Church.
Sept. 28: Selma Church of God and Gospel Tabernacle Church of God, 6-8 p.m.
A return Day of Prayer will be held on Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Selma Mall Parking Lot near Trustmark Bank. Various pastors in the area will lead prayers during the hour.
Smith said Kay Alsobrook is organizing a chartered bus trip to Washington, D.C. for a Prayer March at the National Mall on Sept. 26 with Pastor Franklin Graham. The bus will leave Sept. 25 and return two days later. Deadline to sign up is Sept. 10 and cost will be $250.
