The 2020 Gridiron Magazine contest will feature Selma High wide receiver Dion Nelson and Ellwood Christian Academy cheerleader Laila Mitchell.

The pair had the most liked photo in the Facebook cover photo contest. As of Friday’s afternoon deadline,  Nelson and Mitchell’s photo received over 1,200 likes on The Selma Times-Journal’s Facebook page.

A football player and cheerleader from each of the  Dallas County  public and private schools all participated in the cover contest.

Dallas County football player Carlton Underwood was paired with Morgan Academy cheerleader Mary Alan Ousley.

Morgan Academy football player Matthew Free was paired with Selma High cheerleader Taylor White.

Southside football player Christopher Bonner was paired with Keith cheerleader JaShayla Turner.

Meadowview Christian School football player Randall Moore was paired with Southside cheerleader Alexis Dixon.

Keith football player Keshawn Tolbert was paired with Dallas County cheerleader Perla Sanchez.

Ellwood Christian Academy football player Kenneth Dukes was paired with Meadowview Christian School cheerleader Kristen Little.

The annual football preview magazine will be published at the end of the month.
