Mr. William “WD” D. Beaty age 91 of Valley Grande passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 surrounded by his family.

He retired from Wallace Community College Selma as the Dean of Student Affairs.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Watkins Beaty; daughters, Carol (Norman) Barfoot and Andra Jones; grandchildren, Joshua Barfoot, Anna Jones Cochran, Norman Lee (Bonnie) Barfoot, Meredith Barfoot, and Savannah (Bryan) Goldman; great-grandchildren, Christopher Cochran, Jr. and Brooklyn Goldman; and brother, Larry (Janet) Beaty.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Beaty , Sr. and Doris Beaty; siblings, Martha Pemberton and Billy Max Beaty; sister-in-law, Faye Beaty; and brother-in-law, Billy Pemberton.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Ken Blake officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9- 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

The family request no flowers, please make contributions to the General Fund of Northside Baptist Church.
