Mrs. Lucy Brooks Smith, 96, a life-long resident of Selma,  passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Park Place Nursing Facility, Selma. Mrs. Smith was a life-long member of Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, the Lota Phi Lambda Business Sorority, Inc., and a retiree of the Selma Public Schools. Mrs. Smith and her husbnd, Pauldo, were the owners of the Gay Fabric Upholstery Shop.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Pauldo R. Smith, Jr. and daughter-in-law Linda Smith. Other surviving relatives include: Foster Davis (Regina) Ralph Brooks (Linda), Thomas Curry (Ann), Melvin Curry, Edwin Brooks (Debra), Gwendolyn Baldwin, Karen Alexander, Bernice Campbell, Debra Thomas (Tony), Mildred Cal (Jimmie) Sandra Brooks, and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2020, 10 a.m. at Serenity Cemetery with Pastor Craig Scott officiating and directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service, Inc.
