Rebecca Jones Holland, 64 of Selma passed away Saturday, May 9 after  a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Jones, Jr., her husband Ricky Holland and her brother Robert Edward Jones. She is survived by her brother William David Jones of Selma as well as other relatives in other states.

Prior to her illness she was active in Praise Park Ministries Church of the Nazarene where she assisted in the nursery and served on the Church Board. She was also very active with the Boy Scouts for a number of years. She had a love for children and was generous with her time and money helping people.

The family would like to say a special word of thanks to the staff of Selma Health and Rehab Center (formerly known as Blue Ridge Healthcare)for the care they provided during the last three years. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. Graveside at New Live Oak Cemetery, Rev.’s  Jared and April Young officiating with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Pall Bearers will be Alfred Morelock, Christian Baggett, Craig Lee, David Barnes, Leith Wilson and Mike Driggers. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Praise Park Ministries Church of the Nazarene.
