Cecil Lester “Buddy” Brown, son of the late Thomas Lester and Minter Ray Lumley Brown, passed away on April 30, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida. after a lengthy illness.
Buddy is survived by his wife Penny; daughter, Heather (Russell) Gibbs; granddaughters, Kelsey (Michael) Bozeman and Katie Ryon Gibbs; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Tommy (Charmion) Brown; sister, Kathy (Billy) Osborn and several cousins, a niece, and nephews.
Buddy was born in Selma, on November 17, 1950. He was a 1968 graduate of Southside High School and went on to become a Master Electrician. Buddy married Pamela Sue “Penny” Rascoe in September of 1981. As owner of Leonard Electric Company, his work was well respected and he enjoyed taking on the most challenging jobs in his field. After retiring, Buddy and his wife Penny moved to Orange Beach where he enjoyed deep sea fishing with family and friends.
There will be no public visitation or services. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.
