Augustus Brice Moore of Montgomery passed away on April 21, 2020, after an extended illness. He was 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Hennon Moore and Eugenia Gilmer Moore of Marion Junction,  and sister, Ada Gene Moore of Selma. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Babs; his children, Lloyd Moore, Barbara Wharton (Mark), both of Montgomery, and Gena Britton(Mark) of Dothan; four grandchildren, Chad Wharton, Brooke Wharton, Matthew Britton, and Bailey Britton.

Born and raised in Marion Junction on a farm, Mr. Moore then graduated from Auburn University in 1954. Because of his farming experience, he was employed with the American Dairy Association for 30 years. He then went on to spend 15 years working with Alabama State Parks. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Montgomery where he served as deacon.

A private family graveside will be held on April 27, 2020, at Greenwood Cemetery.
