A Prattville man was arrested Monday in Dallas County for impersonating a police officer.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Selma Police Department teamed up for the arrest of Sean Payton Lann.  The SPD arrested Lann, charging him with two counts of impersonating a police officer, third-degree robbery and third-degree criminal mischief. He remains locked in the Dallas County Jail on $51,000 bond.

Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford and Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum each gave accounts of Lann pulling over local residents.

“The person was pulling people over, impersonating officer, hit someone, then jumped out, said he was a police officer and took their keys and mail and fled,” Fulford said. “He did not take their car. The victim called police and they apprehended him near Southside High School. He’s wanted by the state and county.”

“We heard reports of a person impersonating an officer and pulling people over,” Granthum said. “Jesse Davis was also in the car. He has felony arrests in Autauga County and Elmore County.”
