Dallas County guards make Alabama All-Star Basketball game

Two of the best high school basketball players in Dallas County are now All-Stars.
Guards Jarvis Moss of Selma High and Dallas County’s Darrius Ellis are part of the South All-Stars. The game will be played on July 14 in Montgomery. A site hasn’t been determined by the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA).
Moss, who averaged 16 points a game, said it’s an honor to play in the contest for rising seniors.
“It feels good, my hard work is paying off,” Moss said. “It means a lot to represent my school being the fact we don’t get as much recognition as we should.”
Ellis, who averaged 18 points and nine assists for the Hornets, said he appreciates the recognition.
“It means a lot to me because before the season started it was a lot of people that doubted and went against me,” Ellis said. “It feels good to represent my school because Dallas County is not really talked about and it feels good to see the high school beside my name.”
