Ms. Marie Ingram age 93 of Selma, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her home. She was born on March 20, 1926 in Tyler to the late Luther Asbury Jordan and the late Odie Ada Daughtery Jordan.
She worked for many years as the Admissions Clerk at the Selma Baptist Hospital and after retirement she happily served as a Pink Lady.
She is survived by her children, Mary Sue Box, Rosa Turner, Robert Wayne Ingram, Lewis Keith Ingram, and Clara Anne Ingram; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Thera “Boots” McBride; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Odie Jordan; husband, James M. Ingram, Sr.; son, James M. Ingram, Jr.; son, Daniel Lee Ingram; and siblings, Betty Cook, Eschol Jordan, Emory Jordan, and Voncile Strickland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cory Horton and Rev. Guy Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kevin Box, Kelly Box, Jimbo Mitchell, Heath Ingram, Ryan Turner, and Jason Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Elkdale Baptist Church or Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
