Keith High, Morgan Academy win big games during MLK weekend

Fourth-ranked Keith High took a pair of basketball games during MLK Holiday weekend.

The Bears beat Calhoun 53-50 and A.L. Johnson on consecutive nights, improving to 15-4, 5-0  in Area 6, Class 1A

Keith High is ranked fourth in the last Alabama Sportswriters Association (ASWA) prep basketball poll.

Morgan Academy 65, Fort Dale 44: Jeremy Lee scored 26 points and Milam Turner added 13 points as the Senators (11-6, 1-2) won their first Area Game.

Edgewood Academy 72, Meadowview Christian School 36: Garrett Brech led the Senators (2-16) with 10 points, Christian Jones added nine.

Fort Dale girls 50, Morgan Academy 21: The Lady Senators fall to 3-10.

Keith girls swept: The Lady Bears lost to Calhoun 57-44 and A.L. Johnson 54-43. last weekend, falling to 4-10.

Edgewood Christian Academy girls 47, Meadowview Christian School girls 41: Grace Redd scored 11 points, but the Lady Trojans fall to 8-9. Erin McIntyre added six points and nine rebounds for MCS.
