According to a statement released by the Alabama Department of Labor (ADOL) Tuesday, Alabamians who received unemployment compensation benefits in 2019 can now download and view their form 1099-G online at www.labor.alabama.gov.

The form details how much unemployment compensation a claimant received during the calendar year, as well as information regarding the amount of taxes withheld from benefits – such information is required to be reported annually.

Forms are also available for years 2010 through 2018.

“This convenient access to important tax forms is available to all Alabamians who received unemployment compensation benefits,” said ADOL Secretary Fitzgerald Washington. “Claimants should note that if they access their form online, no forms will be mailed to them, so they should print them for their records.”

Online forms are password protected and require a claimant’s Social Security number to access.

For those who do not make use of the online forms, a printed form will be mailed to the address on record on Jan. 31 – address changes can likewise be made online.
