Mrs. Bertha M. Smith,  age 73, resident of Selma, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall with Bro. Vincent Harris officiating. Burial to follow in the Everdale Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service, Inc. Survivors include: spouse, Richard Smith, Jr.; two sons, Richard Smith, III and Terry M.D. Smith; grandson, Terrius Richard M. Smith that she raised; twodaughters, Charlene Garrett and Darlene Smith; one brother, John Robert Carr; two sisters, Alice Rooks and Mary Jackson; seven grandchildren, sixgreat grandchildren, son-in-law; Willie L. Garrett; daughter-in-laws, Angela Smith, Vanessa R. Smith; sister-in-laws; Leola Smith, Susie Smith and brother-in-law, Theophilus Smith.
