The duo helped lead the Generals to a AISA State championship.

“It feels good to get noticed for all the hard work me and my teammates put in this year,” Freeman said. “I feel that everyone on the team should get noticed. I couldn’t have done it without them. All I can do now is be patient and hope the college coaches can see it too.”

“It’s just a blessing alone to get named All-State,” Palmer said. “I thank God and my coaches for pushing me to be an All-State player.”

The 6-foot-5 Palmer completed 116 of 176 passes for 1,936 yards and 22 touchdowns through 10 games. Freeman began his career at Selma High.

The 6-foot-2 Freeman threw for 482 yards and nine touchdowns. He  also rushed for 519 yards and 10 more scores. At defensive back, Freeman had two interceptions.
