A Selma man was arrested Thursday by the Montgomery Police Department.

Jerico Parker, 31, is now in the Dallas County Jail for Failure to appear first-degree rape charge, according to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson.

Other FTA charges on Parker are unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana, menacing, third-degree assault, second-degree escape, domestic violence third-degree harassing communications and domestic violence third-degree assault.

Parker has a history of arrests for drugs, menacing and domestic violence dating back to 2008.

At Parker’s arraignment Monday, Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong set Parker’s bond at $1 million.
