A Pine Hill resident was found guilty of manslaughter by a Wilcox County Jury on Wednesday.
According to Fourth Judicial District Attorney Michael Jackson, Niko Bizzell, 35, was convicted of manslaughter from a two–year old case. Jackson said it took the Wilcox County jury 45 minutes to reach a verdict.
Telvin Kimbrough was the victim in the incident that occurred on Feb. 5, 2017 at the block of 743 Bull Hall Road in Pine Hill. According to the police report, Bizzell and Kimbrough were headed toward a violent confrontation.
Fourth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Don McMillian ordered a pre-sentence investigation and report for Bizzell and set his sentencing for November.
“Guys no longer settle disputes with their fists anymore, they now settle disputes with their guns,” Jackson said.
