Deacon William Buddy Bell, age 79, resident of Sardis,  passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Sardis. Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2019, noon at Mt. Olive No.2 with Anthony Shears officiating. Burial will follow in New Shady Grove Cemetery in Sardis,  directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service, Inc. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Melvin Bell and Mrs. Hester “Ethel” Bell. Survivors include: spouse; Mrs. Annie S. Bell; seven sons, Irving Bell – Columbus, Georgia, Purvis Bell – Dallas,Texas, William Bell, Jr. – Rochester, New York, Vincent Bell – New York, Kenton Smith – Selma, , TaVarius Smith – Selma, Brian Smith – Houston, Texas; one brother, Melvin Bell, Jr., – Chicago, Illinois; one  sister, Eliza Peterson – Bronx, New York; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
