Three women injured in accident on Broad Street

Three women were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Broad Street.
According to Selma Police Department Lt. Reginald Fitts, a gray GMC Envoy and a blue Ford Crown Victoria collided on the Intersection of Broad Street and Fourth Avenue around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.
“One vehicle was traveling south on Broad Street and the other vehicle was traveling on fourth avenue, they had a collision,” Fitts said.
Fitts said the three women were taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Fitts said the injuries were serious, but not life threatening. He did not reveal the women’s names.
The Selma Fire Department assisted SPD with the accident.
Fitts said the accident is under investigation by the SPD’s traffic division.
