Meadowview Christian falls:  Meadowview Christian School lost to Macon-East 35-0 in its prep jamboree on Friday night in Cecil.

Despite the lopsided score, MCS head coach Bob Taylor saw a few bright spots.

“We had four rain delays, but it was all about getting stuff down on field,” Taylor said.

Taylor said he sees a better squad from last year’s winless 0-9 team.

“We’re a much improved team from a year ago,” Taylor said. “We’ll get better as the season goes along.”

Taylor, a veteran AISA coach, said Macon-East will have another strong season.

“Macon East beat Morgan Academy in the playoffs last year, they’ve got a pretty good team.”
