Sallie Juanita Emerson, age 87, of Selma passed away on August 22, 2019.  She was born in Marengo County September 7, 1931.

Mrs. Emerson was very active in the Fort Walton Elks Lodge Elkettes, military wives club and enjoyed playing cards, bowling and working with charities. Mrs. Emerson was preceded in death by her husbands, Olen C. Jackson and James M. Emerson; parents, Jerome G. and Ruth T. Agee; children, Michael W. Jackson  and Olen C. Jackson, Jr.; brother, Zack Agee and step-daughter, Janice Emerson.

Surviving are her son, William A. Jackson (Louise); step-children, Mike Emerson, Rusty Emerson and Jay Emerson; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jackson; brothers, George Agee, Myles Agee (Betty) and Craig Agee (Sheila); sister, Sylvia Smith (Hugo); sister-in-law, Cora Agee; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with the family officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
