Bond hearing held for two Selma residents

A bond hearing was held for two Selma residents on Thursday at the Dallas County Courthouse.
Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong set bond at $1 million on Ronald Johnson and Mustafa McDonald, 24, for discharging a run into an occupied building.
A witness told the Selma Police Department that she heard shots and advised the SPD it came from a Gray Nissan Altima. The witness also told SPD that Johnson, 30, would be in the vehicle.
When SPD stopped the vehicle, officers Johnson in the back seat with a hand gun. McDonald and Taquon Fikes were also in the vehicle. SPD returned to the scene and noticed five 9mm rounds shot and 30 223 rounds shot. SPD did not find a 223 gun inside the vehicle.
The SPD went inside the residence on the block of 2607 North Church Street and noticed it was where Johnson used to live. Officers found the 223 gun and determined it was only one shooter.
A preliminary hearing date for Johnson and McDonald is set for Sept. 3 at 1:30 p.m.
