Selma Links Chapter adds 10 new members

The Selma Chapter of the Links Incorporated added 10 members over the summer.’
Alabama State Senator Malika Sanders-Fortier and Selma Schools Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams lead the Links, Inc. Class of 2019.
The other new members are WSFA-12 News Media Sales Account Executive Ashley Milton, Rural Health Medical Program CEO Keshee Smith, Attorney Vernetta Perkins, Chestnut Law Firm Legal Analyst Alicia Chestnut, R. B. Hudson Middle School Principal Concetta Burton, Vaughan Regional Medical Center Obstetrician/Gynecologist Dr. Shawnequa Brown, Salute Selma co-founder and ABMC LLC CEO Abina Billups and College Level Academic Instructor Erica Barnes.
Selma Chapter President Dorothy C. Barnes said the new members all have impressive backgrounds. They were inducted into the local chapter on June 8 at the George P. Evans Building.
“We have a diverse group of young ladies with a variety of skills,” Barnes said. “We were pleased they decided to join our organization.”
The inductees’ community service activities included a “BeYoutiful/Motivational Session and
Etiquette Workshop” at R.B. Hudson Middle School for seventh and eighth grade students.
